Terms of Service
Last updated 1 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Arcle, operated by Arcle Technologies Ltd (“Arcle”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Arcle.
1. What Arcle is
Arcle is a financial technology platform — not a bank and not an FDIC-insured or NDIC-insured institution. Arcle provides a conversational interface to a self-custodial USDC wallet and, where available, access to licensed local fiat partners. We do not take custody of your crypto assets.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for complying with the laws of the country you use Arcle from. Access may be restricted in certain jurisdictions.
3. Your accounts and keys
Your USDC wallet is a self-custodial modular smart account secured by a passkey (WebAuthn) held on your device. Arcle never holds your private keys and cannot move your USDC on your behalf. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your device, passkey, and Arcle PIN. Loss of your passkey may result in permanent loss of access to on-chain funds.
4. USDC and blockchain transactions
USDC is a stablecoin issued by Circle Internet Financial. On-chain transactions are irreversible and settle on public blockchain networks. Arcle is not responsible for network downtime, protocol changes, or the value of any digital asset.
5. Local fiat and partners
Local currency features (for example, Nigerian Naira via our licensed payments partner) are provided by third-party financial institutions licensed in their respective countries. Those services are subject to the partner’s own terms and regulatory requirements.
6. Fees
Arcle may charge fees for certain actions, disclosed to you before you confirm a transaction. Blockchain networks may also charge gas fees, which Arcle may sponsor at its discretion.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Arcle for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion, or any unlawful activity. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arcle is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of self-custodial wallets, digital assets, or third-party partners.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
