Autopay & Payroll

Rent, salaries, a monthly transfer to family — payments that should happen without you remembering. Arcle does them with Autopay: you approve a plan once, and it pays on schedule by itself.

The one thing in Arcle that moves money without asking you each time

That's the whole point of Autopay, so it's built with limits. You approve each plan once — with your PIN or biometrics — and that approval covers only that recipient, that amount, that schedule, up to a cap you agreed. It can't pay anyone else or pay more. You can pause or cancel any plan at any time.

    It runs

    On each date the payment is made from your dollar balance. Times are your local time.

  • Autopay pays in digital dollars. If you ask in naira, Arcle converts at the live rate when setting it up and shows you the dollar amount.
  • Missed payments are skipped, not piled up. If a plan couldn't run for a while (say your balance was empty), it carries on from the next date — it never fires three months of payments in a row.
  • If a payment fails, Arcle retries later without moving your schedule. A plan that keeps failing stops, and you can resume it.
  • “Show my autopay”, “pause my rent payment”, “cancel my autopay to @ada”.

Payroll

Pay your team now

“Pay salaries — Alice ₦200k, Bob ₦150k, Chi ₦180k”, or upload a spreadsheet. One review, one approval, everyone paid. Each person is paid the best way they can be reached: their Arcle wallet, their bank account (you must name the bank), or a claim link if they don't have Arcle yet.

The fee is 0.5% of the whole run (minimum $0.10), paid by you on top — every staff member gets their full amount. If anyone couldn't be paid, Arcle tells you exactly who, so you know whom to chase.

Recurring payroll

Salaries that pay themselves every month: one Autopay plan per employee, all approved in a single step. Each person has their own cap and can be stopped on their own. Recurring payroll pays to wallet addresses. A raise means cancelling that person's plan and creating a new one — a running plan's amount can't be edited.

GitHub contributors

Pay open-source contributors for their work. Arcle looks at the repository fresh each time, proposes the payouts for you to confirm, and sends claim links to anyone without an Arcle account.

Every run is recorded under Payroll in the sidebar: who was paid, how, and who wasn't — the people who weren't paid are shown just as clearly as those who were.
