Arcle on WhatsApp

Message the Arcle number and you get the same assistant as in the app — the same account and the same money. Check your balance, send money, pay bills, save, run an ajo — from a chat you already have open.

Getting connected

New to Arcle

Say create. Arcle signs you up right in the chat: invite code, email (optional — but it's how you get back in if you lose this number; you can add it later by saying add email), a username, your country and your PIN. No app or browser needed.

Already have an account

Two ways. In the app, go to Settings → Connect WhatsApp for a one-time code, then send link followed by the code. Or say link on WhatsApp and confirm with a code we email to your account — owning the phone alone isn't enough.

Going the other way

On WhatsApp, say open the app and you get a one-time link that signs you straight into the app.

Approving payments on WhatsApp

WhatsApp can't do Face ID, so payments there are approved with your 4-digit Arcle PIN — for naira and for digital dollars.

    In a private PIN box that opens inside WhatsApp (where available), or by replying with the 4 digits.

    You get the receipt as a PDF in the chat.

Keep your PIN private

If you typed your PIN as a message, delete that message afterwards — Arcle will remind you. A pending payment waits only 5 minutes for your PIN, and wrong PINs count toward the same lockout as in the app.

What finishes in the app

Some things need a screen WhatsApp doesn't have. You can start them on WhatsApp; Arcle tells you, and the confirmation is waiting in the app when you open it:

  • Paying for a hotel room, and flight checkout
  • Setting up Autopay and recurring payroll
  • Paying for a marketplace errand
  • Uploading a price list as a file (typing or a voice note works on WhatsApp)

Moves within Arcle — into savings, an ajo or a pool, cancelling a hotel with a refund to your balance — settle on WhatsApp with a plain “yes”.

Good to know

  • Arcle can't be added to a WhatsApp group. Pools and ajo work by sharing a link, so everyone stays in their own private chat. See Ajo.
  • To disconnect, send unlink — or use Settings → Security in the app, which is the one to use if the phone is lost.
