Your Accounts

Every Arcle user has three things that work together: a dollar wallet, a local account, and a name.

Your digital-dollar wallet

Holds digital dollars (USDC) and sends them anywhere in the world in seconds. It is created for you when you sign up — there is no seed phrase to write down and nothing to install. Ask “show my wallet address” to see the address you can share to receive dollars.

Arcle keeps the wallet secure on its servers and signs a payment from it only after you approve that exact payment — with your phone's biometrics or your PIN. Nobody, including Arcle staff, can approve a payment for you.

Your local account

An account in your country's currency. In Nigeria it's a real naira account with its own account number: anyone can send you a bank transfer, and the money appears in your Arcle balance. Other countries are rolling out.

Your local account is for receiving. Arcle never “deposits” money into it — money only arrives when someone actually sends it.

Your @username

Your payment name. Other Arcle users can pay you by @username, instantly, without ever seeing your account number or wallet address — and you can pay them the same way.

Activating your naira account

Your naira account is created when you want it, not at sign-up. It takes a minute:

    Open Settings → NGN account → Activate

    Or ask Arcle for your account details and follow the link.

    Enter your BVN

    Your bank holds your identity details; we show you the name and date of birth it returns so you can confirm it's you. Arcle keeps only the last 4 digits — never your full BVN.

    Add your address and agree

    This completes the identity check banks require for an account.

    Your account number and bank name appear straight away.

Never type your BVN into the chat

Activation happens on its own secure screen. If you type a BVN into the chat, Arcle won't repeat or keep it.

You need an activated account to send naira to an outside bank account. Paying another Arcle user in naira works without it.

Where your money arrives

Under Settings you can choose where incoming naira transfers go: keep them in naira, or convert them to digital dollars automatically.

A new phone, or a lost one

Your wallet isn't stored on your phone, so losing it doesn't lose your money. On the new device, sign in with your email code and your PIN, then add Face ID or fingerprint again in Settings — same wallet, same balance, same history. If the phone was lost or stolen, also disconnect it from WhatsApp and any AI apps (see Security & Privacy).

Invite friends

Your invite code is in Settings. Anyone who joins with it is recorded as someone you invited.
